Gasherbrum I is the 11th highest mountain in the world, fifth highest in Pakistan. It was first summitted in July, 1958, by Pete Schoening and Andy Kauffman, members of an American expedition led by Nicholas Clinch.

Gasherbrum II, the world’s thirteenth-tallest mountain (third highest in Pakistan), was first summitted in July, 1958, by an Austrian expedition led by Fritz Moravec. Gasherbrum II is considered the safest and easiest of the 8,000-meter Karakoram peaks to climb, offering the ideal choice for those intending later to attempt Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak, or K2.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR 8000ERS 

At least one 6000m peak climbing is recommended to gain experience in climbing high-altitude mountains. In addition, you will be able to examine your physical limits, you will be able to access your technical skills, and you will be able to evaluate your acclimatization requirement.

RECOMMENDED PHYSICAL TRAINING

(Start 90 days before the expedition)

  • Hiking once a week: 5 to 7 hours with a minimum 15 KG backpack. 
  • Running a minimum of 5 to 7 km every day.
  • We also recommend cycling and swimming as your time permits.

TRAINING WE PROVIDE AT BASE CAMP BY OUR CLIMBING INSTRUCTOR

Using Rappelling Devices, traverse, duck walk, classical/ flat-footing, using oxygen, mask, regulator, and other safety devices, ice climbing practice, traversing, ladder crossing, fixed lines, diagonal ascent/ descent, etc. 

If you would like to summit in a short period, we recommend consulting a Hypoxia (Altitude Training for pre-acclimatization) professional, three months before the expedition.

- A Professional Climbing Sherpa with his international flight tickets, equipment allowance, daily wages, international flight tickets and carrying bonus - We are providing one well-experienced local guide who can speak English; our cook will provide you all delicious foods, English, Pakistani, Korean, Italian, Chinese and Thai. Kitchen boy will help with cook and waiter will serve you time to time while trekking and camping period. Porter Sardar will lead low altitude porter on require places.
- To GI / GII base camp 50kg allow each climber - From GI / GII base camp 50Kg allow each climber(Note: In case the baggage exceeds more than the above-mentioned kgs then we will charge normal porter rates.)

- We have been providing Chinese, Pakistani and Italian foods along with different kinds of soups will serve you at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There will be dessert, salads, and sometimes BBQ at base camp. Coffee, green tea, Black tea, and Pakistani chai will be available all-time at the dining tent at base camp. - Fresh fruits will serve you during the trek and base camp from time to time. Soft drinks like coca-cola and other kinds of juices are also served at base camp. - Mutton, Beef, Chicken will be provided besides tin fruits, dry fruits, biscuits, and chocolates also available. - Food and vegetables all will be highest standard possible given in remoteness mountain range,(Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements.)

Additonal Information

RECOMMENDATION: We recommend our clients to deposit helicopter rescue evacuation deposit in advance $5000/- the entire money is refundable if not use. In case any emergency happens on remote mountain range then we fly helicopter on time to save life.

  • TRAVEL INSURANCE: - It is a strongly recommend that while booking treks and tours with us that travelers/trekkers must be protected by insurance themselves that covers cancellation, accidents, health, emergency evacuation, and loss of items, or damage to baggage and personal effects.
  • COVID 19 CERTIFICATE: - Please bring a Covid 19 certificate; the certificate should be a prior of one week before your arrival in Pakistan.
